This site was designed for a company who organise conferences and distribute conference documentation. Their old site was looking a bit dated, and they wanted something a bit more modern.
Rather than using lots of imagery from actual conferences (which was one of the things they didn't like about their old site), the new design uses more abstract images from nature, such as rocks, plants, and water to symbolise each section.
Because their is quite a lot of information about each of the conferences that are on offer, some of the pages on their old site were quite long. The new design remedies this by using a system of tabs on the conference information pages, so that information on a certain aspect of a conference is only a click away.
